#SupportLocal – Truffles On The Park
Truffles On The Park is an exciting new Sandton eatery that has everyone talking. Here’s why we think it needs to be on YOUR radar screen this month!
Mushroom Farm Park in Sandton is one of those venues that, when mentioned, often results in a “Huh? Where’s that?”
Situated on Daisy Street in Sandton (just off Rivonia Rd and opposite the Radisson Blu Hotel), this beautiful green hideaway includes a playground, landscaped lawns and an outdoor gym!
It’s definitely worth a visit – especially if you’re looking for a little weekend picnic spot. But also because it plays host to one of Joburg’s hottest eating spots – Truffles On The Park – that we think should be on your radar screen!
Truffles On The Park is a self-proclaimed “World Bistro and Botanical Bar serving serving world cuisine with an African flavour in a beautiful park setting.
But don’t be fooled, while elegant and stylish, the eatery focuses on serving delicious fresh healthy food and unique drinks for families, business people and those visiting Joburg.
The team prides itself on including a “touch of Africa” in everything they do, using fresh seasonal products and foraged botanical flavours to create their unique dishes.
You can have a good look at their menu and pricing online – click here to have a look.
Highlights include their “artisinal shareables” – tapas-style dishes range from truffle parmesan fries (R35) and crisp pork belly(R85) to peanut and citrus glazed spicy prawns (R95) and charred octopus (R115).
Their burgers and pregos are apparently HIGHLY recommended, as is the watercress and orange blossom salad (R89).
The orange cardamom creme brûlée (R48) has rave reviews – but we suggest giving one of their deluxe dessert shakes (R59) a try!
