Angels (Named Guy/ Greg) Walk Among Us

Angels (Named Guy/ Greg) Walk Among Us

Be First!
by January 17, 2018 MX40, News

Many of us will attest to the phenomenal MX40 community in which we live – one that is made even more unique by stories such as these. We were all incredibly touched by the kindness and selflessness of a total stranger who appeared – and helped – when he was most needed!

If YOU are this incredibly kind gentleman, please get in touch so that we can reconnect you with Jo and put a face to this amazing story.

Here is Jo’s story:

“On the evening of the 21 December 2017, my husband Mike collapsed in his chair. He has had heart problems in the past, so I immediately suspected it was a heart attack. I called our housekeeper, who resides on our property, to stay with him while I called my daughter who lives just 5 minutes away. She arrived and stopped a jogger to help us get him into the car as he was way too heavy for us to carry. The jogger (I think his name was Guy or Greg) was absolutely amazing. He took over the wheel of the car and drove us all to the Morningside Clinic with hazards on and hooting all the way.

Once we were there, he simply stood aside and called his wife who subsequently fetched him from the Clinic.

Sadly Mike did not make it, and so a very sad and distraught family came back home.

I would like to thank this awesome gentleman for his kindness and the caring and efficient manner in which he came to our assistance.

The next morning, he arrived on my doorstep with a bunch of flowers wanting to know how Mike was. He was saddened at the news but was so friendly and supportive. He wrote his name and number on a piece of paper for me, but despite my efforts, I cannot contact him. I would like him to PLEASE let us know his details. There are so many good people in this world and he is at the top of the list.

One lesson to be learned from this is that we, as a community, should keep in touch with our neighbours and all those in Morningside Ext 40. We never know when something will go awry, and we need to be vigilant in this regard.

THANK YOU GUY/GREG. YOU ARE AN ANGEL IN DISGUISE AND I APPRECIATED THE WAY YOU ASSISTED US. THE COMMUNITY NEED TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

Jo
